The iPredikt website at www.ipedikt.in allows you to make and score your own predictions publicly on future events. It also shares your predictions with other registered users, to allow iPredikt to make the best possible aggregate predictions to inform the world. User privacy and security is important to us and we take utmost measure to keep your data secure.

Our Privacy Policy details the policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your information when you register or use/view our website iPredikt.in. Irrespective of your country of residence, you are authorizing iPredikt to use your information in India.

Account and Profile Information

• When the user registers on our website, they will be asked to provide some personal information, such as username, password, and email address. You will be identified on the platform by your username. Your username will be publicly displayed on your profile page and in search results and against your predictions. Users can register through their social media accounts as well. iPredikt does not take any privacy and security responsibility for such a login.
• We may also ask you for some optional information, such as your first and last name when you sign up. On the update profile page, you can voluntarily provide information about yourself such as a tagline, your professional affiliation, a picture, an avatar, your location, connections to your blog or social media accounts, your areas of interest or expertise. This helps in connecting you with fellow forecasters on the basis of interests, accuracy, expertise, credibility and ultimately your forecasts. This helps fellow forecasters to follow you on your forecasting journey. All of this profile information that you provide to us will be by default public information. In some cases, such information will also be requested to help us better analyze the forecasts and rationales that you submit. In such cases, there will be a check-box of whether you want us to display the information on your profile page or to keep it hidden. With respect to those questions, if you do not want the answer to be displayed on your profile page, please check the box. We may use any information you voluntarily provide about yourself (whether or not you check the box to keep it hidden on your profile page) to improve the feedback we provide you on your forecasting accuracy and to customize the content we show you. Such information may be used as part of our aggregation algorithms to provide our best summary or aggregate answers to the forecasting questions. We may also use such information to improve our aggregation algorithms and other functionality of the Services, as well as to conduct research into the science of the crowd forecasting.
• Your email address will be the primary source of communication from us. This communication including your responses will be retained by us. You can control receipt of certain emails from us via settings on the iPredikt site. We also use your email address to load your avatar image onto the Services from gravatar.com. We may use your contact information to send you marketing email messages. If you do not want to receive such messages, you may opt out by following the instructions in the message.

Forecasts and Rationales

Your contributions in terms of your forecasts, rationale about the forecasts, your comments on your own/other users, or any other activity on our website is publicly viewable on the Service, along with your username. This Information may be viewable all around the world instantly. We strongly advise discretion in what you choose to post. Your forecasts will be scored, and your scores will also be publicly viewable on the website. We are not responsible for the practices employed by other websites linked to us. Please remember that when you use a link to go from the Services to another website, our Privacy Policy is no longer in effect. Your browsing and interaction on any other website, including those that have a link on our website, is subject to that website's own rules and policies.

Links

• We may keep track of how you interact with links on our website and in email, in order to help improve our Services, to share aggregate click statistics, and to surface the most relevant links contributed by the crowd in the forecasting process to inform our users, our aggregation algorithms and to share with the world.
• As stated in our T&C , we will not be held responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our website. Our privacy policy will not be applicable to any content outside our domain. Your browsing and interaction on any other website, including those that have a link on our website, is subject to that website's own rules and policies.

Information Collected Automatically

In providing the Services, we use persistent and session cookies and other tracking technologies to: (i) store your username and password; (ii) analyze the usage of the Service; (iii) customize the Services to your preferences; and (iv) control advertising displayed by the Service, if any. Some features of the Services may not function properly if you disable cookie functionality. We may also use other Internet technologies, log files, clear GIFs, Flash technologies, and other similar technologies, to deliver or communicate with cookies and track your use of the Service. We also may include clear GIFs in HTML-based emails sent to our users to determine whether the message has been opened. Information sharing

• As mentioned earlier, we do not consider your forecasts, rationales, scores, voluntarily disclosed profile information to be private information. This information will be publicly available and can be collected and used by others. Such information is intended to be shared with the iPredikt community and iPredikt sponsors, including the metadata associated with them. Your forecasting activity and scores will be associated with your username, and will be publicly viewable on your user profile page. You may elect to make certain profile information non-public by adjusting the settings on your iPredikt account. When you change your account settings from public to private, we will honor your requested settings as of the date such change is made. When you change from public to private settings the information that was previously shared with a third party will be in public domain. Any information displayed on your profile page may be searched by search engines, provided to iPredikt sponsors, and may be republished elsewhere on the Web or through media outlets in accordance with our Terms of Service. We may share the aggregated answers, your individual answers, your forecasting activity, your public profile pages and our insights, improvements or research about the crowd forecasting process, as well as associated supporting data, with iPredikt’s sponsors or partners as part of our research or our collaboration with them.
• We engage service providers to perform analytics services and hosting services. We may share your private profile information with such service providers subject to obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures, and on the condition that the third parties use your private personal data only on our behalf and pursuant to our instructions.
• Certain forecasting competitions known as Challenges may be offered to the user on behest of third party sponsors. In such cases, we may share your personally identifiable information, such as your email address, with such third-party sponsors as part of providing them the forecast data from the Challenge, and to enable them to contact you to follow up on your participation in the challenge. If we do so, such third parties' use of your information will be bound by this Privacy Policy.
• iPredikt may allow third-party ad networks to serve advertisements on our website. These third-party ad servers or ad networks use technology like cookies, JavaScript, or web beacons to send, directly to your browser, the advertisements and links that appear on iPredikt. They automatically receive your IP address when this happens. Predikt does not provide any personally identifiable information to these third-party ad networks without your consent. However, please note that if an advertiser asks iPredikt to show an advertisement to a certain audience and you respond to that advertisement, the advertiser or ad server may conclude that you fit the description of the audience they are trying to reach. The iPredikt Privacy Policy does not apply to, and we cannot control the activities of, third-party advertisers. Please consult the respective privacy policies of such advertisers for more information.

Business Transfers

• In the event that iPredikt is involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, your information may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction. This Privacy Policy will apply to your information as transferred to the new entity. We may also disclose information about you to our corporate affiliates in order to help provide, understand, and improve our Services and our affiliates services including delivery of ads.
• iPredikt may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or subpoena or if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security or technical issues; or to protect iPredikt's rights or property.
• iPredikt uses commercially reasonable physical, managerial, and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your personal information. We cannot, however, ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to iPredikt or guarantee that your information on the Services may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. In the event that personal information is compromised as a result of a breach of security, iPredikt will promptly notify those persons whose personal information has been compromised as required by applicable law.
• If you do not want your name to be publicly displayed, you can leave it blank or choose a pseudonym. However, if you put your social media links on your profile page then your name or and any other information may be inferred from there. You may also decline to submit any requested personally identifiable information through us, but as a result iPredikt may not be able to provide certain features of the Services to you. You may, modify, update or correct your account information, certain opt-in/opt-out preferences, and email preferences by logging in to your account.

Children's Privacy

The iPredikt Prediction website does not allow kids below 13 years of age to open an account. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

iPredikt reserves the right to change its Privacy Policy any time. The most current version of the policy will always be available at our website and will govern our use of your information. Any changes made to the policy will be notified to the user via email to the registered email address. By continuing to access or use the Services after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
